Welcome!

How to navigate:

To navigate this website featuring a variety of over 120 strength & conditioning exercises, select the 'Body chart' tab and select the joint of your choosing. You will be greeted with an array of exercises with accompanying video, as well as information regarding tips/cues, muscle groups targeted, appropriate exercise progressions and regressions and supporting literature for particular exercises. Alternatively, you may select the 'Select a joint' or 'Other exercises' tab for quicker access to exercises of your choosing.

Background of project:

The following resource was created in respect to the progressive identity shift within modern Physiotherapy, which is seeing more and more clinicians opting for exercise and strength & conditioning prescription as opposed to manual therapy techniques, as a result of supporting literature to benefit a multitude of presentations.

Furthermore, this resource was created in order to support Physiotherapy students throughout their studies, and enhance their ability to prescribe higher level exercises to patients, outside those taught within the degree which are largely aimed at hospital Physiotherapy.

Disclaimer:

The video demonstrations accompanying the exercises in this resource are for visual representation only, and aren't all completed with the intention of displaying perfect 'form' or 'technique'. Furthermore, while exercises are categorised by joint, many of these exercises use multiple joints and aren't isolated to a specific muscle group. As such, the categorisation of the exercises by joint and the 'muscle groups targeted' is provided as a guide only.

Special thanks:

While inappropriate to reference every individual exercise outside of those referenced to specific rehabilitation protocols or EMG studies, many of the exercises featured in this database were inspired from various Physiotherapists and Strength & Conditioning coaches from online and social media accounts. As such, a list of these individuals is provided:
