Exercise cues/tips:

  • Ground the feet, or have them up on the bench

  • Squeeze shoulder blades 

  • Keep wrists in neutral position

  • Control the descent of bar

  • Powerfully push bar towards ceiling

Muscle groups targeted:

  • Pectoralis

  • Triceps

  • Deltoids

  • Traps

  • Wide grip = pec bias

  • Narrow grip = tricep bias

​

Exercise progression:

  • Power banded bench press

​

Exercise regression:

  • Floor press
