Exercise cues/tips:

  • Start by positioning the jaw in a neutral position

  • Place the hand on one side of the jaw, and resist as you try to shift the jaw to the side

Muscle groups targeted:

  • Medial Pterygoid

  • Lateral Pterygoid

 

Exercise progression:

  • Jaw lateral deviation PNF

 

Exercise regression:

  • Jaw lateral deviation AROM
