Exercise cues/tips:

  • Start on your hands and knees

  • Lift one leg off the floor, and drive the knee out to the side and to the back while keeping the knee flexed

  • All motion should be driven by the hip

 

Muscle groups targeted:

  • Glutes

  • Hip abductors

  • Core

  • Banded quadruped fire hydrants

 

Exercise regression:

  • Quadruped leg extensions
