Exercise cues/tips:

  • Start with a towel hanging around the neck

  • Pull one side of the towel so it is marginally longer than the other side

  • With the opposite side of the towel, pull slightly under the chin in order to get traction to rotate the neck

  • This should be a passive exercise for the neck, in which the arms pulling the towel are doing all the work

  • Isometric strengthening

  • AAROM
